Opening Ceremony at Börshuset
The city of Gothenburg and Västra Götaland Regional Council invite all participants to a reception at Börshuset, located in the heart of Gothenburg and one of the city’s most elegant historic landmarks. Built in 1849 in a beautiful neoclassical style, the building was originally established as a meeting place for merchants and a hub for trade during Gothenburg’s golden era as a thriving port city.
Today, Börshuset is best known as the venue of the Gothenburg City Council. Visitors are often drawn to its grand architecture, impressive columns, and central location overlooking the canals and historic square.

Conference Dinner
Welcome to one of Gothenburg’s most historic venues for celebrations and
entertainment.
Where the city’s grand boulevard, Avenyn, meets the tree-lined Vasagatan, a magnificent Neo-Renaissance building stands as a striking landmark. It has been a symbol of “la dolce vita” since 1886, when the Valand Art Palace first opened its doors.
Artists and their entourages soon transformed the venue into a vibrant centre for
entertainment and social gatherings, establishing a tradition of celebration that continues to this day.
We will round off our conference day with a three-course dinner, accompanied by drinks and entertainment.
