Travel Directions to Umeå University:

Umeå University is located in the city of Umeå in northern Sweden.
If arriving by air, Umeå Airport has frequent flights from Stockholm. The airport is a 10 min drive to the city centre or directly to the university.
For those arriving by train, Umeå Central Station is closer to the city centre, while the Östra Station is located only 5 min walk from the university campus.

Umeå has a range of accommodation options to suit your preferences and budget. A number of hotel rooms have been reserved for delegates joining the Bacillus Workshop. These rooms can be booked via the same on-line form as the registration for the meeting. Note that the registration fee does not cover accommodation.

The majority of hotels are near the city centre, which is well connected to the University. Typical prices range from 700 SEK (€ 60) to 1200 SEK (€ 100) per night.

Hotel Björken is located adjacent to the campus and only 5 min walk from the venue.

The Vasaplan central bus station has frequent bus services (Buses 2, 5 and 8) that stop at the university campus with a 10 min travel time.
