TRAVEL GRANT

The organizing team of SIG Writing 2022 #right2write conference and research school is pleased to inform you that we are offering travel grants to doctoral students and junior researchers to support part of their costs to attend the conference and research school. We are able to offer 3-5 participants a travel grant of 500 EUR.

How to apply for the travel grants?

Send a motivation letter (ca. 200 words) and short CV to the elisabet@umea-congress.se no later than February 1, 2022. Applicants will be notified by the organizing team no later than March 01, 2022.

The organizing team will evaluate the applications and selections will be made based on the following criteria:

• The applicant is a doctoral student or junior researcher. Publications are not required.
• The applicant elaborates in his/her motivation letter on why he/she wants to attend the conference and/or research school and an approximate travel budget.
• Doctoral students and junior researchers from Sweden are not eligible for this travel grant as travel costs are relatively low. Priority will be given to applicants whose travel costs are high.
