How will I receive my registration confirmation?
You will receive a registration confirmation to your e-mail upon finalizing your registration.
How do I pay for my registration?
Please note that Swedish VAT is added to all fees (where applicable) as per the Swedish Tax Agency. Reverse charge is not applicable as the services provided by the conference and hotels are considered rendered in Sweden. You may be able to reclaim the VAT from your home country, contact your domestic tax agency for more information.
What if I cannot attend the conference, i.e., what is the cancellation policy?

When is the last date to register?
Deadline for early bird is March 31. The last date for registration is June 30, 2023.
I have special dietary requirements, who should I inform?
You can add this when registering to the conference. Requests for a special diet must be communicated no later than two weeks before the start of the conference. Please note that special diets refer to for example vegetarian or food allergies. Special diets for non-medical reasons cannot be accommodated (for example LCHF diet.)
Can you help me book accommodation in Uppsala?
Resia Kongress, the conference secretariat, has made group reservations at some hotels in Uppsala, at favorable rates. You are welcome to book your accommodation at the same time as you register to the conference.
What is the official language of the conference?
The language of the conference is English.
Which time zone is Sweden in?
Sweden is in the Central European Time zone.
What is the climate in Sweden in August?
It is late summer in Uppsala in the middle of August. The average temperature is 20°C. The length of the days are long, with no less than 18 hours of daylight.
Do I need a visa to enter Sweden?
Delegates are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden.

Do I need a special insurance and/or vaccinations to visit Sweden?
The registration fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organizers recommend that delegates obtain insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit. No vaccinations are needed when visiting Sweden.
How do I get from Arlanda Airport to Uppsala?
To and from the airport, you can continue to Uppsala comfortably by both the airport buses and direct train, with departures from SkyCity. During the day, buses and trains depart twice an hour.

How do I get from Uppsala central station to Uppsala University where the conference will take place?
Uppsala University is located just a walking distance from the central station, approx. 15 minutes, or by bus, see bus schedules here, https://www.ul.se/en.
What is the local currency?
The Swedish monetary unit is the Swedish krona (SEK). In February 2023; Euro 1=SEK 11.36, USD 1=SEK 10.53, GBP 1=SEK 12,69. Major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere. There are several currency exchange offices and cash dispensers at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport and in Uppsala. Exchange rates may vary. Where can I withdraw cash?
ATMs to withdraw cash are available at the Resecentrum and in several places in the city centre. However, there are few ATMs in the historic districts. Here you will find a map of ATMs in Uppsala.
Electricity
In Sweden the power sockets are of type F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
