The Carlsten Fortress is a really impressive sight, towering above the wooden houses and sailing boats on the island of Marstrandön.

Marstrands Havshotell is on the island called Koön, next to the ferry station for Marstrandsön. Gothenburg is only an hour's drive away and the bus stop is a few steps from the entrance. Marstrands Havshotell offers 144 rooms, including waterfront or courtyard rooms all with double beds. All guestrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Some guestrooms are ADA accessible and equipped with an accessible shower. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also available in each guestroom as well as throughout the resort. Complimentary guest parking is available. Housekeeping services are provided for guest stays.

Transportation to and from Resort

There are several avenues for which conference attendees can get to Marstrands Havshotell. For those that travel into Gothenburg Landvetter airport, the closest international airport, there are several options. There is a low fare bus (Flygbussarna) from the airport to the Gothenburg central station (25 min) and another low fare bus (MEXP) from there going directly to Marstrands Havshotell (50-75 min). Alternatively, a 24-7 taxi service is available going directly from the airport to Marstrand (approximately $200 one way; 60 min drive). A third option is to rent a car at the airport and the hotel provides free guest parking.
