Vattenfall is a leading European energy company and a producer and retailer of electricity and heat with about 13 million customers. Our main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK. The annual generated electricity and heat production is about 111 and 14 TWh respectively.
Vattenfall has approximately 19 000 employees and is 100% owned by the Swedish state. Our key priorities are to secure fossil-free energy supply, to customers and to the society. Therefore, we are investing in renewable energy sources to reduce CO2 emissions and by 2030 we will completely phase-out coal and add four times today’s capacity of wind and solar power.
