Gävle City Hall
We recommended that you arrive the day before the meeting and stay in Gävle city located about 30 km north of Älvkarleby. Gävle is known for its beautiful harbor, its historic city center, and its strong industrial presence. Transportation will be arrange from the recommended hotels to Vattenfall Research Center located in Älvkarleby. If you arrive at Arlanda airport, the easiest way to get to Gävle is by train. The recommended hotels are at walking distance from Gävle train station. You can also rent a car and drive to Älvkarleby (about 1 h 20 min drive) or take the train “Upptåget” from Uppsala to Älvkarleby train station.
