We are excited to invite you to register for the IASSC, taking place in Luleå, Sweden, from the 15th to the 17th of September 2025.

In addition to the main conference sessions, we are offering pre- and post-conference excursions that will take you through the unique landscapes of northern Sweden and Finland. These excursions provide a hands-on opportunity to explore the challenges and solutions associated with acid sulfate soils in the northern region.

Registration Fees:

Conference: 3400 SEK

Student fee: 3000 SEK

Conference dinner at 19:00 Sept 16^th, 2025: 900 SEK

Enhance your conference experience by joining one or more of our exciting pre- and post-conference excursions. These excursions are designed to provide participants with direct exposure to the environmental challenges and innovative remediation strategies related to acid sulfate soils in northern Sweden and Finland.

The conference will be held at the Clarion Hotel Sense, Luleå. The conference registration fee includes Swedish morning and afternoon Fika, as well as lunch during the three conference days.

The participants need to arrange their accommodation. We suggest finding accommodation in the city centre of Luleå.

Excursion:

Excursion Options:

Pre-Conference Excursion (Sept 14, 2025): Explore acid sulfate soils in the vicinity of Luleå and a visit to the World Heritage Gammelstad Church Town

Post-Conference Excursion (Sept 18–20, 2025): A tour of acid sulfate soil across northern Sweden and Finland, including site visits and discussions with local environmental experts. The excursion registration fee includes transport, accommodation and meals.

Post-Conference Excursion: 4500 SEK
