Dr. med. vet. Ursula Dietrich, DACVO, DECVO

Ursula graduated from the Veterinary College at the Ludwig-

Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany where she also obtained her

doctoral degree (Dr.med.vet) in 1996. She completed an ACVO

residency program at the Vetsuisse Faculty in Zurich, Switzerland and

subsequently became faculty member at the College of Veterinary

Medicine, The University of Georgia, in Athens, GA, U.S.A. in 2000.

After many years in academia, Ursula worked in private referral practices

in New York and Bletchingley, UK, and eventually joined the Royal

Veterinary College in London as a Senior Lecturer from 2017-2020.

Ursula is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2020 and has

dedicated most of her career to the mentoring and training of numerous

students, interns and residents. She is an international lecturer and

course instructor, authour and co-authour of many articles and textbooks

and was until recently a member of the ACVO genetics committee.

Since 2020 Ursula runs her own independent and feline-only

ophthalmology referral consultancy at the London Cat Clinic, London.

Dr. med. vet. Ingrid Allgoewer DECVO

Born in Brazil and raised in Germany, Ingrid completed her

veterinary studies in Munich and Hannover and graduated 1990

from the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, Germany. She

obtained her doctoral degree Dr. med vet. from the Ludwig-

Maximillians-Universität in Munich and became a faculty member

at the Clinic for Small Animal Surgery at the University in Munich

and later at the Small Animal Clinic at the Freie Universität in

Berlin for 10 years. Since 2000 Ingrid runs her own veterinary

ophthalmologic clinic in Berlin. Ingrid served on the ECVO

executive board 2000-2014 and was ECVO president 2010-2012.

A co-instructor of the annual Berlin Advanced Microsurgery

Course, textbook-coauthor and author of numerous articles, she

was an editorial board member of German journals as well as the

Journal of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Ingrid´s major interest is

ophthalmic surgery, ocular conditions of brachycephalic breeds as

well as ocular surface disease.
