On Friday 7 November, between 10:00-15:00 (Swedish time, CET), you will have the opportunity to experience more of Västerås by joining one of our exciting activities. We offer four different activity packages, each providing its own unique experience, which you can read more about below.
During Monday’s and Tuesday’s dinners, there will be an opportunity to sign up for the activities at the information desk at Västerås Congress. All activities are free of charge.
Explore the enchanting depths of the Sala Silver Mine on a guided tour following in the footsteps of kings and miners. This activity also gives you the opportunity to experience curling – a sport in which Sweden’s women’s national team has achieved great success. No prior experience is required, as professional instructors will be on site to guide you.
This activity takes place both indoors and outdoors. Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable clothing underneath.

Enjoy a day immersed in modern culture and lifestyle – discover trendy finds and exclusive brands at Tuna Park and Erikslund Shopping Center, two of the region’s premier shopping destinations. The bus tour will take you along the beautiful Lake Mälaren, which stretches across large parts of the Västmanland region.
This is an indoor activity, we suggest that you choose casual clothing.

Challenge your team at Prison Island, where cooperation, logic, and courage are put to the test as you work together to escape the cell you’ve been placed in. This activity also includes trying out thrilling bouldering and rope climbing with instructors on site. No prior experience is required – just team spirit and a sense of adventure!
This is a more physically active experience. Please wear clothing that allows you to move comfortably.

Discover the best of Västmanlands history and culture – visit the impressive Cathedral, where King Erik XIV, son of Gustav Vasa is buried, the historic Skultuna Brassworks founded by King Karl IX, and the elegant Strömsholm Castle, home to multiple generations of royalty. The tour also includes the idyllic Vallby Open-Air Museum, where you can meet animals and purchase authentic handicrafts to take home.
Bring warm clothes, as part of the tour takes place outdoors. Please dress according to the weather and wear casual clothing underneath.
