Pär Blomkvist
Pär Blomkvist is Ph.D. in history from Stockholm University, and an associate professor in industrial economics at Mälardalen University. He teaches industrial dynamics and methods courses at the INDEK master's program in engineering. Blomkvist has written several books and articles on infrastructure such as road traffic, water and sanitation systems from both historical and contemporary perspectives.

Pär Dalhielm
Pär Dalhielm is CEO of the Swedish Water and Wastewater Association (Svenskt Vatten) and President of the European Water Federation (EurEau). With more than 20 years of leadership experience in water management and sustainable development within the public sector, he combines strong policy expertise with operational insight. He holds degrees in Environmental Science and Macroeconomics, as well as an MBA.

Sigrid De Geyter
Sigrid De Geyter has been a senior leader in the utilities sector for more than two decades. After starting her career in energy production, she went on to serve as CEO of Uppsala’s water utility between 2016 and 2024. Today she is Director of Water and Wastewater at Stockholm Vatten och Avfall, where she is responsible for merging and developing the organisation’s production and distribution functions.
She holds engineering degrees from Ghent University and Umeå University, and has complemented her technical background with executive training at the Stockholm School of Economics and the Swedish Defence University.

Cecilia Engman
Cecilia Engman is currently working as head of the investigation and planning unit within Tekniska Verken i Kiruna AB's street and water supply department. Cecilia has worked for many years with water supply issues within Kiruna Municipality

Matilda Jirblom
Matilda Jirblom works as a process engineer at Ramboll and is also the chair of the Vattenindustrins focus group NextGen. Within NextGen, she helped launch the Vattenindustrins Internship, where students each summer get to intern at four companies representing the water and wastewater sector.

Fredrik Jordhøj
Fredrik Jordhøy holds an MSc in Environmental Microbiology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (2012). He has also completed further education in crisis management and emergency preparedness, with a particular focus on water supply systems (2021).
He has more than ten years of experience as an advisor, specializing in risk assessment and the management of waterborne pathogens (e.g. Legionella) in water installations. He also worked for three years as a Senior Advisor for drinking water at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.
For the past four years, Jordhøy has served as Discipline Lead for Emergency Preparedness at the City of Oslo, Agency for Water and Wastewater Services. In this role, he is responsible for the department’s preparedness work, including developing procedures, delivering training and education, conducting exercises, and coordinating collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Josefine Klingberg
Josefine Klingberg is a project manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, specialising in water supply and water use. Her work focuses on research and innovation for sustainable water use, with a particular emphasis on behavioural change and technical solutions across different user groups. She leads and contributes to several national research projects that combine technology, social sciences, and communication to drive more sustainable water use in households and society.

Kati Mäki-Latikka
Kati Mäki-Latikka as a Senior Communications Specialist has an extensive experience in communications as like strategic communications, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement. Working by the water services in the Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority HSY she has built strong professional skills and is commited by communications to foster trust, clarity and collaboration.

Andreas Thunberg
Andreas Thunberg, CEO of Norrvatten, talks about Norrvatten’s experiences in securing the water supply for 14 municipalities in the northern Stockholm area and the construction of one of the largest water treatment plants in the Nordic region.
