Qfix Patient Positioning and Immobilization Symposium

Qfix is pleased to announce M. Salim U. Siddiqui, M.D., Ph.D., as the keynote speaker presenting "Emerging Trends in Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery" for the Qfix Patient Positioning and Immobilization Symposium being held October 26-28, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Siddiqui serves as Senior Staff Physician, Director, Stereotactic Radiation Program, Director, QA Committee, and Director MR Simulation Program Department of Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Health Systems, Detroit, MI. Dr. Siddiqui will also present a second educational session "Intracranial SRS: The Henry Ford Experience".

Joining Dr. Siddiqui as symposium speakers are:

Dr. James Balter, Ph.D., FAAPM, Professor and co-director, physics division, Department of Radiation Oncology University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI who will present on the topic of "MR in Radiotherapy".

Dr. David Wiant, Ph.D., DABR, Cone Health Cancer Center, Greensboro, NC will present recent findings from an in-depth study examining the radiotherapy process using design thinking techniques.

Tneisha Haddock BS, R.T.(R)(T), Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC will present "Unconventional Immobilization Devices & Setups".

Dr. Jose Bazan, MD, M.S., Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbus, OH will present on the topic of "Prone Breast Radiation Treatment".

Tina LaPaglia, BS, RT(T), Lead Radiation Therapist, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center will present "Immobilization and Setup for Prone Breast Radiotherapy".

The Symposium agenda will include didactic, hands-on and question and answer sessions. The Qfix Patient Positioning and Immobilization Symposium will focus on technical advances and provide medical professionals education and information to assist them in reviewing and understanding many of the latest advancements in patient positioning and immobilization techniques.

Additional speakers and session announcements will be forthcoming. This symposium is designed to meet the educational needs of radiotherapy professionals, including radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists and physicians with a limited number of registrations available. Continuing Education Credits will be awarded by the Medical Physicians Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP), The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), and the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).
